It is very interesting to note that there is a whole cycle of controversy regarding construction of the history of Bengali Theatre. The whole controversy started in the aftermath of the independence of Bangladesh in 1971 and gathered momentum by the mid 80s. Although the dusts from the storm has subsided for the time being, it still remains to be seen which SCHOOL has the last say.
